You’ve heard a lot about 3D printers, but will there ever be the day when we can use them to print our clothes?
A young lady named Danit Peleg thinks that day will be here soon. In a recent TED talk, she explains how a fashion school project let her to degisn and print some practical garments. I have to say the closest I’ve ever come to designing clothes was when I was in the Air Force, stationed in Thailand. Our base had a collection of tailor shops close by, and the proprietors would make anything you could describe to them. Let’s just say some of my ideas worked and some… didn’t. So I don’t think I’ll be rushing to get a 3D printer just for clothes.
