My Very Best Friend

I have a friend who’s the very best.

He’s there whenever I need him.

He’s always cheerful and kind to me

And never needs a reason.

 

Whenever I’m feeling lonely or sad

and everything’s wrong that day,

he knows to turn things right around

and exactly what to say.

 

He’s everything I need in a friend,

on that we both agree.

And I always know I can count on him

because, you see, he’s me!
